Welcome

Cambridge-Narrows Community School is a rural K-12 school situated on the banks of the Washademoak Lake in the village of Cambridge-Narrows. It serves, as well, the outlying communities of Codys, Jemseg, Whites Cove, Mill Cove and Waterborough. C-NCS is the only rural New Brunswick school to house an early learning centre for children 3 and 4 years old. Mission Statement:

“Our school is a community which respects the inherent worth and dignity of the individual. Our mission is to develop students who are lifelong learners committed to using their skills, knowledge and understanding to become active citizens, committed to making a difference locally and globally.”

C-NCS has serveral school programs for students to take participate. The following are a list school programs. (For program details see the registration form:

  • After-School Chess Club, Grades 2-5
  • After-School Chess Club, Grades 2-5
  • Lunchtime LEGO Club, Grades K-5
  • Lunchtime Journalism Club, Grades 2-5
  • Lunchtime Kindness Club, Grades K-2
  • Lunchtime Knitting Club, Grades 3-5
  • Lunchtime Wii Sports Club, Grades K-5

School Cafeteria:

Funds for School:

Our school has been successful in obtaining the following funds:

  • Restart a Life - Heart and Stroke Foundation - Defibrillation Purchased $2700
  • Tickets to see the Marco Polo performace at Harbour Station, Saint John, NB
  • Eco League Canada $350 - EcoLeague.ca is a youth empowerment program that challenges and motivates students across the country to help save the planet through community and school-based environmental action projects.

Breakfast for Students:

Student have been enjoying breakfast on Tuesday and Thursday's that are maxmium Nutrition according to Healthier Foods and Nutrition in Public Schools.

School Improvement Plan:

The School Improvement Plan (SIP) provides the essential learnings for students at Cambridge-Narrows Community School. SIP for Literacy, Numeracy and Science.

School Hours:

School Day begins 8:25 a.m. (warning bell 8:15)

K to 12 Dismissal (Monday –Thursday) 2:50 p.m.

K to 8 Dismissal (Friday) – 12:00 p.m.

Grades 9-12 Dismissal (Friday) 2:20 p.m.
